In early 2013, we opened a new Technical Center in Shanghai that allows us to more effectively collaborate with our local and regional customers. As an example, we are helping many customers develop innovative, safer and greener water-based emulsions, quickly and efficiently as environmental concerns mount.
Our expanded manufacturing plant in Sinagpore now includes a 20-ton reactor, doubling our production capabilities and complementing our existing 400 kg, 6000 kg, and 12000 kg reactors. Our 400 kg pilot reactor complements our installations in Europe and the USA, and allows customers to speed up their concept-to-commercialization cycle for new products. It is being used to test formulations and explore emulsion properties in customer applications.
